BDA is a member of the Alliance of Merger and Acquisition Advisors and the company’s president, James Eckles is a certified merger and acquisition advisor (CM&AA). BDA will work on behalf of its clients to assess the viability of growth through third party deals and to determine what deal structure, e.g., JV, collaboration or acquisition, is most sensible. Partnerships and acquisitions should be consistent with, and support, the strategic objectives of the company. BDA will assist in determining deal options, identifying acquisitions and will lead the process to ensure favorable terms. BDA will also prepare post-acquisition operating plans and manage the integration process.
BDA is able to provide valuation services from its associates and can also recommend accounting firms and attorneys for diligence and contracts. BDA will lead the deal process and can lower over-all acquisition costs. We do not provide legal or tax advice, but we have advisors that can do this for our clients and our involvement generally reduces the billing time of other advisors.
On acquisitions, BDA works exclusively in the middle market segments ($5.0M to $300M in company revenue). We do work with publically-traded companies on strategic acquisitions and also divestments (Management Buy-outs (MBOs) and spin-outs (LBOs, MBIs, corporate ventures), where the resulting entity will be privately held.
